About

After spending almost three years honing his songwriting craft, Todd Kramer released his first studio EP, One Pair of Eyes, in March 2012.

The five-song album takes us on a journey from Todd’s Connecticut roots to the New York City musician he is today – a journey filled with mixed emotions.

The main theme of One Pair of Eyes is moving on. Moving on from youth, moving on from relationships, moving on in life. Perhaps no song better exemplifies this than the title track, where Todd regrets his inability to get over a young relationship (“I was living in the past, looking for some greener grass”) before finally looking forward to what’s ahead for him (“Now I’ve got both eyes on this unpaved, unbeaten path”).

It’s the way he combines his pensive lyrics with upbeat rhythms and inescapable melodies that makes Todd’s writing unique and interesting. His music is simple, transparent and, most importantly, honest. It’s hard to miss what he’s trying to say, and even harder not to relate.

Todd comes from Woodbridge, CT and studied at Syracuse University, where he began writing songs. His musical influences include many contemporary Pop/Americana singer-songwriters, notably Ryan Adams, Stephen Kellogg and John Mayer.
